Kinetic

This pioneering programme aims to develop and release the leadership ability of young people so that they can be used by God to make a difference in their world. The origin of the word ‘Kinetic' is the Greek word kinetikos which comes from the word kinein meaning ‘to move'. The dictionary tells us that ‘Kinetic‘ is…

This is what Kinetic is all about – leadership that creates movement, leadership that is active and leadership that is dynamic and energizing. The course is comprised of 12 interactive sessions that young people work through with an adult mentor, and covers subjects including:

Each session is then sub-divided into the following sections:

Kinetic will also include the opportunity for young people to make connections with other young people across the country who are working through this course – joining a Leadership Academy where they'll be able to access further advice, hints, tips and leadership articles to support this course. They'll also find out about other opportunities which will grow and stretch their leadership ability, including training weekends with other leaders and serving in community projects across the world.

Here's what some of our friends are saying about this exciting new resource.

"A fantastic new resource that will be invaluable in developing leadership gifts in teenagers."
Rob Parsons, Executive Director, Care for the Family

“The night I decided to follow Christ at the age of 14 was the night I saw, and owned, a vision for the rest of my life – a vision to establish a home for the homeless, a school for the marginalized and a hospital for the poor. If this leadership course had been available to me in those early years, I am sure I would have avoided some of the mistakes I made! I recommend this resource to all wishing to inspire young people to dream great dreams whilst equipping them to make such dreams reality.”
Steve Chalke MBE, Founder Oasis Global

"If the Church is to proactively contribute to the transformation of British society in the second, third and fourth decades of the 21st Century, this type of youth leadership initiative is vital. I applaud and fully endorse this programme and hope and pray that it is a launch pad for many more."
Jill Garrett, Director of Leadership Development Caret.

“Young people are too often referred to as the ‘church of tomorrow' when if fact they possess huge potential waiting to be released today. This comprehensive leadership workbook written for teenagers provides helpful ways in to this becoming a reality. The energy and passion of today's teenagers, if nurtured through the use of materials like this, along with relationships with more mature mentors, could literally turn the world upside down for Jesus.”
Fran Beckett, Chief Executive, Church Urban Fund
