Rebuild 2011

So you’ve come to end of another academic year of reaching children and young people in your community for Jesus Christ? What can I say but thank you – to you and your team – for all the hard work, prayers, laughter and tears that you’ve invested in this last year. I’m sure that God is working in ways seen and unseen, and be assured that we are praying that you will see fruit that lasts in your locality.
I hope you feel that we’ve served you well and if there is anything we can do to serve you better in the months to come then please do not hesitate to let me know. We’re committed to stand with you in your local work, encouraging you in anyway we can.
Whilst writing, I wanted to remind you that after the fantastic success of this year’s trip to Mexico - where 144 young people and leaders built 7 houses during the Easter Holidays of 2010 - we are running another ReBuild Mexico community project in 2011. This really was a life-changing trip for many of the leaders and young people who attended. I personally took 22 young people from my own Urban Saints group and I know that life will never be the same for many of them – particularly those who made commitments to Christ for the first time (awesome!). We’re looking forward to taking some more young people next Easter – join us?
The cost is £1,040 per person and the deposit of £100 is due by end of September (which is why I’m writing to you now). I know that this might seem like a lot of money but I was bowled over with how many people wanted to support our young people to do this – Christian and non-Christian. For more information, and great promo videos including testimonies from people who went this year – see www.urbansaints.org/rebuild
I realize that this might not be appropriate for your young people at this stage, either because they are too young or they’re not ready. However, I hope this would be something they might aspire after in the years to come. Of course, there are many other activities that I hope you can engage with through Urban Saints both regionally and nationally.
Thank you so much again for all that you do. I pray that you will get some rest and refreshment over the summer months and I look forward to your continued partnership in the Gospel – hopefully for many years to come.
Massive blessings,
Matt Summerfield
Executive Director
